This review discusses the reported studies investigating use of bioprinting to develop functional organ-on-chip systems from a manufacturing perspective. These model liver, kidney, heart, lung, gut, bone, vessel, and tumors demonstrate viability bioprinted for disease modeling drug screening. In addition, paper highlights challenges involved in using techniques system fabrications suggests future research directions.
